Jamie Ducharme is a journalist, author, and producer based in New York City.
I'm an award-winning freelance journalist specializing in health and science reporting. I’m a true health generalist—seriously, I’ve written about everything from face transplants to "female anatomy push-ups"—but I've gone especially deep on vaping, mental health, parenthood decision-making, and post-infectious illness.
My work has been published by the New York Times, the Atlantic, BBC, WIRED, KFF Health News, Women's Health, New Scientist, and many other outlets. Before freelancing full-time, I was a health correspondent at TIME magazine and health editor at Boston magazine.
I'm also the author of Big Vape: The Incendiary Rise of Juul, which I helped adapt into the Emmy-winning Netflix docuseries Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul. I've also contributed research and reporting to other documentary projects.
